Nigerian Books of Record, PMAN to honor Veteran Musicians

The Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria (PMAN) and the Nigerian Books of Record (NBR) have a long history of promoting the global perception of Nigeria positively.

Pretty Okafor, the current national President of PMAN, recently hosted the leadership of the Nigerian Books of Record led by His Excellency, Prof. David David, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Hawaii to Nigeria at the iconic Nigerian Music House in Lagos to strengthen their collaborative ties.

During the visit, the NBR team witnessed the tangible evidence of PMAN’s national achievements under it’s current President, Pretty Okafor, including the Nigerian Music House, PMAN’s state-of-the-art headquarters in Lagos, PMAN multi purpose three-tower Gallery in Abuja and the upcoming PMAN Radio Station dedicated to promoting Nigerian music.

The meeting also included discussions about PMAN’s innovative member benefits, such as biometric cards and life/medical emergencies insurance, as well as international partnerships that have enabled PMAN members to participate in global concerts and events.

One of the key highlights of the meeting was the unveiling of PMAN-approved nominees for induction into the Nigerian Books of Record Hall of Fame.

This prestigious list features veteran musicians from both old and new generations, recognizing their invaluable contributions to the Nigerian music industry.

The partnership between PMAN and NBR marks a new era of cooperation aimed at elevating the Nigerian music industry to global standards. By combining their resources and expertise, these two organizations aim to promote Nigerian music and culture internationally, empower musicians through training and advocacy, and foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and creativity.
