…commends Senate President; Akpabio, Minister; Ekperikpe Ekpo
A frontline Political Stakeholder of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nsit Atai local government area, Dr. Ndem Ndem has applauded the executive governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno for his unique leadership style which he said engendered peaceful coexistence in the state.
Ndem, an American-trained Medical Doctor who stated this in a goodwill message on the occasion of the governor’s second anniversary in office, noted that the peaceful atmosphere created through the governor’s leadership style helped in enhancing tremendous development across all sectors of the state.
Dr. Ndem in the message also commended the Senate President; His Excellency, Sen Godswill Akpabio as well as the Honourable Minister of Petroleum (Gas) Resources, Rt. Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo “…for their roles in the Akwa Ibom Unity Project”.
Parts of the message read: “As I congratulate him on his Second Anniversary in office, I wish to most sincerely commend the Executive Governor of our dear State -Akwa Ibom; His Excellency, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno Ph.D, for a very unique leadership style he has brought to bear in governing the state. These unique leadership attributes exuded by the governor since inception of his administration in 2023 have helped in fostering a peaceful coexistence, irrespective of political party affiliations, in the state.
“I must also specially, commend the President of the Senate; His Excellency, Distinguished Sen Godswill Obot Akpabio, GCON, and the Honourable Minister of Petroleum (Gas) Resources, Rt Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo for their respective roles in the Akwa Ibom Unity Project. The story of the peace and development recorded in the State in the last two years can not be complete without mention of the Senate President in particular and the Honorable Minister”.
Enumerating some of the achievements of the governor within his two years in office, Dr. Ndem who contested in 2023 for the Akwa Ibom Northeast (Uyo) Senatorial District seat on the APC platform, particularly commended the governor for his well-intentioned move to join the All Progressives Congress.
“Having successfully enthroned peace in the state, His Excellency has been able to record significant progress in the areas of infrastructure, human empowerment, healthcare, education, etc.
“Just yesterday, the state-owned Paint industry which had remained moribund for many years, was revived by the governor. We have seen state-of-the-art Model Primary schools built by the his administration across the state. Akwa Ibom sons and daughters have been directly empowered to start up or expand their businesses, we are aware that gratuities and workers’ salaries are being paid as and when due.
This is just to mention but a few of His Excellency’s achievements within his two years in office. His well-intentioned move to join the APC is a welcomed development which would further help in connecting the state to the center.
With Sen Akpabio at the national and Gov Umo Eno in the state singing the same song of the APC, Akwa Ibom will continue to experience an unprecedented development.
We can only pray for God’s continued guidance to enable His Excellency do more for the people of Akwa Ibom State”.
