‘We’ll facilitate empowerments for our youths’ – NYC State Chairman

A political bigwig of the All Progressives Congress (APC) extraction in ONNA local government area, Engr. Joseph Andrew Akpanakananwan, has congratulated the newly elected Chairman of the APC National Youth Caucus, NYC, Akwa Ibom State Chapter, Comrade Victor Sunday Etim, pledging his full support towards the actualization of the group’s aspirations.
Engr. Akpanakananwan who spoke while hosting the Comrade Victor Etim-led State Executive members to a breakfast meeting at his ONNA country home on Saturday, May 3, urged the NYC to remain united as they mobilized the teeming youths of the APC in the state towards victory, come 2027.
“Let me congratulate you, Comrade Victor, on your emergence as the chairman of the APC National Youth Caucus, Akwa Ibom State Chapter. I have known you over the years as a good mobilizer and good team player”, Engr. Akpanakananwan stated, stressing that Etim’s Chairmanship victory came at the right time.
He continued: “Let me also thank you and your executive for honouring me with your presence in my house. You have started well. I have heard, and I can see the magnitude of support you enjoy from the executive and members of NYC in the state. On my part, I will do everything within my capacity to support you to succeed during your reign.
All I can advise is that you should do all to unite everyone so that together, we can achieve victory for our great Party”.
In his remarks, the NYC helmsman, Comrade Victor on behalf of his entourage, appreciated the host for his magnanimity in hosting the organization. He outlined his plans for the Caucus in particular and APC in general, hinting that with proper mobilization his party would sweep the entire state, come 2027.
“On behalf of the Executives and members of the APC National Youth Caucus in Akwa Ibom State, I thank you for hosting us, Sir. We deeply appreciate your kind gesture.
Let me also use this opportunity to thank His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his many transformational reforms across Nigeria. Very soon, the dividends of these reforms would be fully felt across the nation.
“It is also worthy to note here that the various achievements recorded by President Tinubu’s administration wouldn’t have been possible but for the support of the National Assembly, ably led by our Grand Leader, Distinguished Sen. Godswill Obot Akpabio. So, we thank the President and the Senate President for their collaborative efforts at repositioning Nigeria for us and the generations unborn”.
On his plans for NYC, Comrade Victor hinted “We have many lofty programmes which are aimed at creating avenues for our youths’ empowerment. Very soon, we shall embark on membership revalidation exercise across the 31 local government areas of the state so that we can identify our true members for the purpose of linking everyone to the right sources for empowerments”.
Highpoint of the occasion was the formal decoration of Engr. Joseph Akpanakananwan and a former member of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bassey Willie as patrons of NYC.
On the entourage of the NYC State Chairman were the State Vice Chairman, Comrade Joseph Bassey as well as other members of the executive and some local government chapter Chairmen.
Also in attendance were the ONNA Chapter Vice Chairman of APC and other notable members of the party.
