A young woman named Aladi Offikwu Johnson, also known as Tessy, from Benue State, was found deàd in a hotel room in the Gwarinpa area of Abuja on June 16, 2025.
Her hands were tied behind her back when discovered unconscious by hotel staff during routine service rounds. She had checked into the hotel with an unidentified male who left the premises without her.
The police have launched a manhunt for this man and are conducting a thorough and discreet investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
The FCT Police Commissioner has urged the public to remain calm and advised young women to be cautious in dealings with strangers and to share their whereabouts with trusted contacts for safety.
