THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
The worst kind of funeral is not the one with a casket-it’s the one where destinies rot in delay, buried under habits, pride, and spiritual laziness that made us miss when Heaven moved.

MAIN MESSAGE
Child of God, what if I told you that many of us are not where we ought to be-not because God didn’t open doors, but because we weren’t prepared when He did?

Luke 19:42- “If you had known, even you, in this your day, the things that make for your peace… but now they are hidden from your eyes.”

When Jesus made the above, He stood over Jerusalem not as a judge but as a grieving lover. He was not angry; He was wounded. Why? Because the people missed their moment. Their Messiah walked their streets, healed their sick, opened their blind eyes-yet they were too distracted to recognise the hour of divine visitation.

“If you had known… in THIS YOUR DAY…”
Every person has a day-a season Heaven designs for peace, progress and prophetic fulfilment to collide. When that day is ignored-by pride, complacency or indifference-God hides what could have been seen. Divine opportunities expire; what you fail to recognise in its time, you may never retrieve in another.

Searching Questions

•How many who were called to be doctors, professors or kingdom financiers are now merely surviving-why?
•How many angels have walked past your gate while you were still “praying about it”?
•How many doors closed while you waited for peace instead of giving God your obedience?
•How many birthdays have you celebrated in the wilderness of “what if”?
•Moments came…and passed.
Appetite out-grew assignment.
Pride silenced the apology.
Sin dulled sensitivity.

Who Stands in This Procession?

•The young woman God told to end an immoral relationship; she refused. Now she raises a child alone while her destiny partner has moved on.

•The brother who should have been overseas fulfilling purpose, but drugs hijacked his mind; today he sleeps in a kiosk.

•The woman who should be married, but pride sneered, “He isn’t my type.” She is 49, still wearing wedding dreams on her finger.

Chains That Hold Us.

Who keeps you where you are? Look around-are you sure this is where destiny designed you to be? Ask yourself:

•Pride that rejects counsel?

•Wrong company poisoning vision?

•Secret sin disguised as pleasure?

•Laziness baptised as “rest”?

•Fear posing as caution?

•Procrastination masquerading as prayer?

•Habits draining time and anointing?

•The whisper, “I’ll start tomorrow”?

Each is a link in the chain that holds you to yesterday while Heaven marches on.

Redeem the Time.

Ephesians 5:16 -“Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”

Time is currency; delay is debt; wasted hours are spiritual bankruptcy. To redeem time is to buy back what distraction, sin or sloth tried to steal-because “the days are evil.” While you sleep, forces schedule demonic appointments; while you scroll, they plot divine diversions. Paul’s alarm is clear: Wake up and seize your moments before evil days write your obituary.

Heaven is shouting: “Get serious with your destiny!”
Never give tomorrow what God told you to do today.
Do not bury your assignment under pillows of excuse.
Redeem your time-because time lost is often grace wasted.

TAKEAWAY STATEMENT

The grave of “almost” is dug with the spade of delay and filled with the bones of destinies that never shouted “now.”

PRAYER POINTS

1. Father, every door I missed because of pride, fear, laziness, or procrastination-have mercy on me and reopen them now, in Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen.

2. O God of second chances, breathe life into every assignment I buried in disobedience-let delayed purpose not die, in Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen.

3. Holy Ghost, destroy every excuse I’ve called wisdom and lace my feet with urgency-let my steps align with Heaven’s timing, in Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen.
