Breaking! Mali fires back, imposes $10k Visa fee for Americans
The federal government of Mali has imposed a $10,000 Visa fee for citizens of the United States of America (USA). This development came just hours after the U.S. government announced a $5,000 visa fee for Malians.
According to reports, the U.S. sanction came after Malian President rejected deportees from America, which reportedly led to Donald Trump’s administration’s retaliatory order.
But, in a bold move, Mali fired back by doubling the fee.
Barring any further diplomatic negotiations, Americans will be paying $10,000 to visit Mali.
President A. Goita was quoted to have said: “We will not bow to intimidations again. Africa will not always be visa-free for them while Africans pay huge sums to get theirs.”
