The South-South Vice President of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Amb. Comr. Okorie Kenneth has appointed Comrade David Bassey Morrow to serve as the Deputy Director, Directorate of Oil and Gas.
In a letter dated 17th Nov, 2025 and signed by the Vice President, South-South, Amb. Comr. Okorie Kenneth, reads that the appointment Comrade David Morrow takes immediate effect and he shall be require to work closely with the Vice President (South-South Zone) in advancing the vision, programmes, and strategic objectives of the council within the South-South geopolitical zone and beyond.
The Deputy Director, Directorate of Oil and Gas is expected to bring his wealth of experience, creativity, knowledge and dedication in fostering synergy between youths and the Oil and Gas companies as it affects employment, students scholarship, and youth welfares especially in the South-South as well as to ensure effective coordination of youth related engagements and any other special assignment as may be directed.
While presenting the appointment Letter to Comr. David Morrow, the Chief Consultant to the Vice President, (South-South Zone) of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Comrade Ezekiel, Don – Peter urged the appointee to discharge the responsibilities of his office with utmost diligence, loyalty, and integrity in the overall interest of the Nigerian youth.
