Prophet Ekong Ituen, the spiritual leader of Christ Deliverance Ministries, Lagos, and one of the Nation’s Prophets, has called for a state of emergency in order to halt the escalating insecurity across the country.
Speaking with journalists in Abuja, while reacting to the latest abduction of students in Kebbi, Niger States and killing of Christ Apostolic Church worshippers while in session in Kwara State, Prophet Ituen wondered how many people would be affected before the government would act swiftly.
He urged President Bola Tinubu who is the Commander-In-Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces to review the policy of Nigeria Army whereby terrorists who surrendered or were captured by the military, would later be given amnesty or be regarded as repentant terrorists and absorbed into the military where they become internal saboteurs and informants to those the nation’s Armed Forces are fighting against.
“Our Military can not fight terrorism, they are far from winning this battle because they are helpless”, the fierce prophet stated.
On the threat by the President of the United States of America to invade Nigeria over alleged genocide against Christians, Prophet Ituen reasoned that since the federal government could not convince Nigerians about its capacity to handle terrorism, President Trump should come quickly.
Ituen said “Nigerian government need to convince me and the citizens why President Trump should not come to our rescue. We should diplomatically partner with President Trump to eradicate terrorism in our country.
It is to be noted that modern war against terrorism is technologically based. If President Donald Trump is the one God will use to fight this battle for us let him come quickly”.
