SERIES THEME: The Years That Will Take Mercy to Redeem

DAY 1 TITLE: The Years We Never Questioned

SCRIPTURE TEXT:
Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NLT) — “For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.”

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
What we fail to question today may become what we cannot recover tomorrow.

MESSAGE
Beloved, there is a quiet pain that comes when you realize that time has moved more than you thought.

When we are young, life feels long. It feels spacious. Like seriousness can wait. Like obedience can be postponed. But James 4:14 reminds us that life is “like the morning fog.” It appears solid — then it fades.

The deception is not that life is short.
The deception is that we think we still have time.

So we delay repentance.
We delay our purpose.
We delay prayer.
We delay becoming serious with God.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 tells us life is seasonal. Seasons do not remain open forever. Strength changes. Opportunities shift. Mates advance. Years pass quietly.

Birthdays should not only be celebrations — they should be evaluations. Not just, “How old am I?” but, “What have I done with my years?”

Many are alive but not truly living. Breathing is not living. Living is doing God’s will. Acts 13:36 says, “David served God’s purpose in his generation.” He did not just exist — he fulfilled something.

Picture students in an exam hall. Hours pass. Some delay. Some assume there is still time. Then the supervisor announces, “Five minutes left.” Panic rises. Regret awakens. But the clock does not extend.

Some years are like that.

We assumed there would be more time to change, to grow, to pursue destiny. But lifestyle, pride, distraction, and comfort consumed seasons.

Hebrews 9:27 reminds us that life ends in accountability. There is a day when explanations stop.

Beloved, some years may not return. Some chances may not repeat. That is why they will take mercy to redeem themselves.

PRAYER POINTS

1.Father, open my eyes before more years slip away unnoticed,in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.

2.Lord, forgive the seasons I treated lightly and restore what my carelessness consumed,in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.

3.By Your mercy, help me use the days ahead wisely and prepare me for eternity, in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.
