…says Mrs Imo Mmenim should be rewarded

Women in Etinan local government area have continued to call for massive support for one of their own, Mrs. Imo Mmenim Valentine who is aspiring for the Etinan State Constituency seat in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly.
The latest to lend her voice is a former Chapter Woman Leader of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Etinan local government area, Grace Frank (JP), who described Mrs Imo’s aspiration as women’s slot.
According to the former PDP chieftain who’s now a stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mrs Imo Mmenim, aside deserving a full support as a well qualified aspirant, also deserves to be rewarded for her loyalty and past support to other candidates.
“Mrs. Imo Mmenim Valentine is the women’s slot for Etinan State Constituency”, Grace Frank declared.
She also noted that State Assembly hopeful is fully qualified by birth and marriage for the position, and appealed to political leaders and stakeholders in Etinan to also give the women a chance.
“Besides, this is the turn for southern Iman and she is qualified because she was born in Etinan and she’s also married in Etinan. In terms of qualification, she is well qualified. I want to appeal to the men, political leaders and stakeholders in Etinan to consider giving a woman a chance”.
On Mrs Imo’s past political activities, Grace continued: “Besides, she has been working for other people, supporting others to win elections in the past and this is her turn. I remember vividly that she worked for Rt. Hon Sam Ikon. She was the woman leader for Sam Ikon for two terms and she stood firm.
When Rt. Hon Sam Ikon went for the House of Representatives, she supported him actively. She also supported and worked for Rt. Hon Denis when he contested for the State House of Assembly, and a lot of others. So, this is her turn and it can only be proper if she is rewarded for her loyalty and accorded a similar support”.
