Breaking! Abducted wife of Maj-Gen Rabe rescued after husband died in captivity

Troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA have successfully rescued Mrs. Abubakar, wife of the late retired Maj-Gen Rabe Abubakar, days after she was abducted by bandits, military authorities confirmed this few hours ago.
Recall that Maj-Gen Rabe Abubakar who was kidnapped along with his wife, died yesterday while in captivity.
According to a statement from the operation, Mrs. Abubakar was recovered during a tactical operation following intelligence on the bandits’ location. She had sustained gunshot injuries during the abduction.
“On contact, troops engaged the criminals and secured the release of the victim. She was immediately administered first aid and evacuated for further medical treatment,” the statement read.
Mrs. Abubakar is said to be responding to treatment and is now in stable condition under military medical care.
The rescue underscores the ongoing risks faced by families of military personnel in banditry-affected regions. Officials described the incident as a grim reminder of the human toll behind every rescue headline — where behind each successful operation lies trauma, violence, and families forced to endure captivity.
