Hon. Francis Barthlomew Chima, popularly known as OmoBarca, has emerged as the automatic candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for the House of Representatives election in Ajeromi-Ifelodun Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.
His emergence is being celebrated by party faithful and supporters across the constituency, who described the development as a recognition of his unwavering commitment to grassroots development, humanitarian service and dedication to the ideals of the Nigeria Democratic Congress.
Following his confirmation as the party’s flag bearer, OmoBarca expressed profound appreciation to the national leadership and members of the NDC for the confidence reposed in him. He described the automatic ticket as both a privilege and a responsibility, pledging to work tirelessly to justify the trust placed in him.
“I sincerely thank the leadership of our great party, the Nigeria Democratic Congress, for finding me worthy of this honour. I accept this responsibility with humility and a renewed determination to continue serving the people of Ajeromi-Ifelodun with dedication, integrity and selflessness,” he said.
The House of Representatives candidate reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare of his constituents, assuring residents that his emergence would further strengthen his resolve to champion policies and programmes that improve the lives of ordinary people.
According to him, his years of humanitarian activities have been driven by a genuine desire to uplift the less privileged, empower young people and create opportunities for sustainable development.
