Adamawa Gov, Fintiri assures N/East govs’ support as Law School DG pays visit 

The Director-General of the Nigerian Law School, Dr. Olugbemisola Titilayomi Odusote, on Tuesday, 11 August 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Governor of Adamawa State, His Excellency, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, CON, at the Government House, Yola, as part of efforts to strengthen stakeholder engagement and support the continued development of the Nigerian Law School, Yola Campus.

The Director-General, who was accompanied by the Secretary to the Council and Director of Administration, Ms. A. O. Osho; the Deputy Director-General and Head of Yola Campus, Salman Lurwan, Esq.; and other senior officers of the Campus, expressed appreciation to the Governor for his sustained support and contributions to the development of the Yola Campus.

Dr. Odusote particularly commended the Governor for his recent intervention towards the construction of a 117-bed-space hostel and his efforts to facilitate support from the North-East Governors for the development of the Campus.

She also sought the Governor’s support for the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy for the Campus and appealed for further interventions in the provision of utility vehicles, sustainable water supply and solar-powered lighting infrastructure to enhance the operations, security and welfare of students and staff.

In his response, Governor Fintiri congratulated Dr. Odusote on her appointment as the first female Director General of the Nigerian Law School. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the continued development of the Yola Campus and pledged further support towards improving its facilities and operations.

The Governor also assured the delegation of his commitment to the issuance of the Certificate of Occupancy for the Campus and expressed readiness to engage other Governors in the North-East towards mobilising collective support for the development of the institution.

The Governor commended the Nigerian Law School for its vital role in training of competent legal professional.
