* As Senators Binani, Abbo; Bindow emerge leaders
Former Vice President of Nigeria, His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, GCON, has reportedly been suspended from the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
According to media reports, Adamawa State ADC Chairman, Hon. Muh’d Raji Sulaiman Zumo, who reportedly made the announcement, also announced the suspension of a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Mr. Babachir Lawal, and others for anti-party activities.
In a related development, the Adamawa State ADC leadership has also recognized Senator Aisha Binani, Senator Ishaku Abbo, and Jibrin Bindow as party leaders in the state.
…ADC didn’t apply to use Eagle Square — Wike
Meanwhile, the crisis rocking the ADC took a different dimension as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has dismissed claims by the party that it was denied access to Eagle Square.
Describing the allegations as unfounded, the FCT Minister insisted that the party never made any formal application to use the venue. He further characterized the claims as attempts to gain public sympathy with a view to politicizing the situation.
This development adds to the ongoing tensions between political actors as preparations and alignments ahead of future elections continue to intensify.
