About twenty four hours after Enugu State Governor, His Excellency, Barr Peter Mbah dumped the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC,), Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, has also resigned from the PDP.
According to his Chief Press Secretary, Daniel Alabrah, the governor’s resignation was officially announced today, Wednesday. Interestingly, nineteen (19) members of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly have also resigned along with him.
As at the time of this report, strong indications were to the effect that Governor Diri might have concluded plans to join the ruling APC.
