Senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District at the Upper chamber of the National Assembly, Sen. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has called out the Minister of Defense, Gen. Christopher Musa (Rtd), urging him to either end incessant killings by terrorists in Nigeria, or resign.

Sen Natasha who dropped the charge in a statement recently posted on her verified social media handles said Nigerians desired action, protection and result, and not condolences and excuses.

“Dear General Christopher Musa”, Natasha said while reacting to Sunday’s attack in Rukuba, Plateau State, “Angwan Rukuba is another brutal reminder that Nigerians remain unprotected”.

Recalling how Gen Musa had promised during his screening on the floor of the Senate that he would be different in his approach to security, Senator Natasha subtly expressed her disappointment.

“During your screening at the Senate chambers, your words were filled with promises and I allowed myself a sigh of relief… at last, I thought. Well, prove NOW you are different and secure lives, or step aside.

Enough of condolences. Enough of excuses. Nigerians want action, protection, and results”.

Gen Christopher Musa was appointed by President Bola Tinubu in December 2025. He’s a retired General with a distinguished military career, having served as the 18th Chief of Defence Staff from June 2023 to October 2025.

Prior to his emergence as Chief of Defense Staff, Musa was the Theatre Commander of Operation Hadin Kai and Commander of the Nigerian Army Infantry Corps.

As Defence Minister, Gen Musa has emphasized patriotism, discipline, and innovation, urging Nigerians to support his efforts to tackle insecurity
