Senior Pastor and founder of Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare has revealed how Pastor Enoch Adeboye placed a curse of death on him for leaving his church.
Pastor Bakare said Enoch, who is the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) had wished him dead after he (Bakare) left the RCCG to start his own ministry.
“I had to run back to Pastor Kumuyi to reverse the curse”, Pastor Tunde Bakare stated this on page 232-233 of his autobiography titled ‘The Last But Definitely Not The Least’.
On page 232, at the last paragraph, Pastor Tunde Bakare was told that Pastor Adeboye said at the workers’ meeting that “if that ‘boy’ (referring to Bakare) doesn’t die before the end of the year (1989), that means the Lord has not called me”.
On page 233, Pastor Tunde Bakare said he ran to Pastor Kumuyi, whom he had earlier left his Church to join RCCG.
Pastor Bakare hinted that he told Kumuyi that “sir, you remember you told me when I was leaving your church for RCCG that I was leaving from frying pan into fire. Sir, the fire has begun to burn. Pastor Kumuyi then prayed for me and reversed the curse of death Pastor Adeboye placed on me!”.
