Akwa Ibom State airport has officially been designated as the Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo.
The designation was confirmed when the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, today paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, SAN, at his office in Abuja.
During the visit, strategic areas of partnership and ongoing improvements within the aviation sector were discussed
The Governor was accompanied by Mr. Uwem Ekanem, Managing Director/CEO of Ibom Airport Development Company and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Aviation Development; the Hon. Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Frank Archibong; and Mr. Raymond Abia.
The meeting was attended by all major stakeholders in the aviation sector.
