Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, PhD, has felicitated with the Mayor of City of Upper Arlington, Ohio, United States of America, Mayor Ukeme Awakessien-Jeter, on the occasion of her swearing in for a second term as Mayor and Council President.
In a goodwill message, the governor noted that Mayor Ukeme’s reelection was a testament to the trust and confidence her people have in her service.
“I congratulate the Mayor of the City of Upper Arlington, Ohio, Mayor Ukeme Awakessien-Jeter, on her swearing-in for a second term as Mayor and Council President.
Her re-election and historic leadership as the first person of colour to hold this office speak to the trust and confidence her people have in her service. I am proud of her journey and wish her continued wisdom, strength, and grace as she serves. Congratulations once again, our daughter and Madam Mayor”.
The City of Upper Arlington is located in Franklin County, Ohio, United States, on the northwest side of the Columbus metropolitan area.
As of 2020, the City had a population of about 36,800. Upper Arlington operates under a Council/Manager form of government, where citizens elect a City Council, and the Council hires a professional City Manager to oversee daily operations.
