Akwa Ibom-born renowned chef, Hilda Baci has officially received her Guinness World Record (GWR) plaque for largest jollof rice pot.
The celebrity chef’s latest Guinness World Record certification is her second having had earlier broke the GWR on Cook-a-thon.
According to the record, which has been verified by Guinness World Records, Baci made 8,780 kilograms (19,356 pounds) of jollof rice during a sizable picnic in Lagos in September.
Hilda’s had achieved her previous title for the longest cooking marathon (individual) with a time of 93 hours and 11 minutes in May 2023.
Baci’s latest record-breaking feat was accomplished in collaboration with Gino Nigeria, with over 20,000 people attending the jollof rice picnic in Lagos. The massive dish was prepared over nine hours using 1,200 kg of gas and yielded approximately 16,600 plates, which were distributed to attendees and charitable organizations.
