Senator Sadiq Umar, representing Kwara North Senatorial District, has visited survivors of the recent attack on Woro Community, Kaiama LGA, who are receiving treatment at the Kwara State University Teaching Hospital, Ilorin.
The Senator sympathized with victims suffering from gunshot wounds and other injuries, describing the attack as heartbreaking. He prayed for their speedy recovery and reassured them of his continued support.
He commended the Kwara State Governor Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, CON, for his swift action and directive to the State Emergency Management Agency for relief materials to be provided for the victims.
He equally commended the President and Commander in Chief of the armed forces, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the deployment of security forces through Operation Savannah Shield to restore peace in the state and go after the non-state actors.
The Lawmaker also urged sustained efforts from security personnel to secure Kwara North which has continued to be affected by insecurity and called on constituents to remain united, hopeful, and prayerful. He reaffirmed his commitment to the people and prayed for lasting peace across the region and beyond.
