The Cross River Basin Development Authority (CRBDA) has entered a new phase of leadership with the formal inauguration of Obonganwan (Mrs.) Glory Ekpo-oho as its Managing Director.
Hailing from Akwa Ibom State, Mrs. Ekpo-oho assumes this strategic role with a mandate to enhance the authority’s operational efficiency and spearhead transformative initiatives in water resource management and agricultural development across its jurisdiction.
According to a statement from the Media Unit of CRBDA, Mrs. Ekpo-oho, a seasoned administrator and reform-driven leader, brings a wealth of experience in governance, project execution, and institutional development.
The release added that her appointment is expected to foster innovative policies that will drive economic growth, optimize water resource utilization, and promote sustainable agricultural practices in alignment with the CRBDA’s core objectives.
In her remarks, the newly inaugurated MD expressed profound gratitude to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for the confidence reposed in her to lead this critical agency.
She also extended heartfelt appreciation to the President of the Senate, Distinguished Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio , CON—her political leader in South-South and Akwa Ibom State—for his unwavering trust and support.
Mrs. Ekpo-oho is determined to foster inter-agency collaboration, prioritize infrastructural advancements, and implement policies aimed at delivering lasting socio-economic benefits to communities under the authority’s jurisdiction.
