Sen Sadiq tours Kwara North Constituency; engages in Patigi, Edu

The Distinguished Senator representing Kwara North Senatorial District, Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar, has concluded his constituency tour of the five Local Government Areas of Kwara North with a series of high-level traditional, political, and youth engagements in Patigi and Edu Local Government Areas.

In Patigi LGA, the Senator and his delegation began with a courtesy visit to the Etsu of Patigi and the Vice-Chairman, Kwara State Council of Traditional Rulers, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Umar Ibrahim Bologi II, where issues of peace, development, and inclusive grassroots participation were extensively discussed. Senator Sadiq reaffirmed his deep respect for traditional institutions and acknowledged their critical role in fostering harmony and community development.

The Senator later engaged youths at the Patigi Emirate Youth Office, charging them to remain peaceful, politically conscious, and actively involved in strengthening the All Progressives Congress (APC). He described young people as indispensable partners in democratic consolidation and future leadership.

Senator Sadiq also held strategic meetings with APC executives, elders, and stakeholders in Patigi, where discussions focused on the ongoing APC e-registration and revalidation exercise as well as the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR). He emphasized the need for mass participation to deepen the party’s grassroots strength ahead of future elections.

In Edu Local Government Area, the Senator paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Lafiagi, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Mohammed Kudu Kawu, before engaging the entire APC party structure in Edu LGA including executives, stakeholders, elders, and members—at a strategic stakeholders’ meeting in Lafiagi. The engagement centered on mobilization for APC e-registration and CVR, with the Senator urging party members to take full ownership of the exercise within their respective communities.

The tour further featured homage visits to the Emir of Tsonga, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Dr. Haliru Ndanusa Yahaya (OON), and the Etsu of Tsaragi, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Aliyu Abdullahi Kpotwa, where Senator Sadiq reiterated his commitment to inclusive representation, respect for traditional leadership, and sustained development across all communities of Kwara North.

As part of his support for the success of the ongoing exercises, Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar made generous cash donations to all five (5) Local Government Areas of Kwara North to support the APC and its Stakeholders with logistics for the APC e-membership registration and INEC Continuous Voter Registration (CVR). He noted that effective grassroots mobilization requires practical support and collective effort.

Concluding the tour, Senator Sadiq called on residents of Kwara North to sustain their support for the APC-led administration of His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON, whom he described as people-focused and development-driven. He also urged constituents to remain steadfast in their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, stressing that unity, party discipline, and grassroots participation remain key to delivering lasting progress.

The Senator emphasized that registering with the APC and actively participating in the CVR exercise are critical steps toward consolidating democracy and ensuring that the voices of Kwara North people remain strong and relevant in both state and national governance.
