Earlier today, the management of Titioluwadare and Associates was in Ikono Local Government Area for a ground breaking ceremony of an Ultramodern market project.
The event which was held at the Urua Edet Ukpom, had in attendance the great sons and daughters of the area including Mr. John John Akpan, a former Vice Chairman of Ikono Local Government Council and State Project Secretary of TOA.
Others were Chiefs, Women Leaders drawn from each ward in the LGA and their executives, Special Assistant to Governor, Elders, Friends and well wishers.
The Chairman of Ikono Local Government Area, Rt. Hon. Engr. Oto-obong Okon Essien in her remark, appreciated the Global President of Titioluwadare and Associates, the country Representative His Eminence Dr. Dowells Paul, for bringing in such massive project into the community noting that it will go a long way not just to illuminate, but also give life to the community.
Also speaking, the Global President of TOA, Apostle Titioluwadare commended the community for embracing the development brought to them and also thanked the Ikono Chairman for opening the doors for the reformation.
The Africa Representative of the company emphasized on the CEO’S vision statement which is promoting Agriculture and building the Youth for a better tomorrow. He promised to stand by the CEO to make the Agricultural sector a mega one.
“We want to establish a mega cassava plantation in Ikono”, Dr. Dowells Paul said during an interview session with the Press.
On why he didn’t deem it fit to establish the farm plant there at Ikot Ekpene where he stays but rather
On why he chose Ikono Local Government Area, instead of Ikot Ekpene where he resides, Dr. Dowells said his choice was not out of sentiment but availability of raw materials.
He revealed that about thirty eight (38) products are made from cassava and ikono has a very fertile land for it.
He added that Cocoa Plantation will also be established not just in Ukpum but across the entire ward as well.
“When I was a Consultant of Aqua Farm, everyday, we had to take a walk across to check the palm fruit plantation in Ikono and Ini Local Government Area, our conclusion based on what we saw was that Ikono has a fertile land ahead of other local government for commercial plantation and we have decided to plant it across all the wards.
“So, we have decided to establish Rice plantation and processing plant, cassava plantation and processing plant, cocoa plantation and processing plant, oil palm plantation and palm oil refinery in Ikono Local Government Area”.
