Tragedy in Akwa Ibom, as popular ‘Mma Akara’, others die in fatal crash
Sad news has hit Ibesikpo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State following a fatal car accident that claimed several lives, including a well-known roadside hawker popularly called Mma Akara.
Mma Akara, who was loved by many for selling akara late into the night at Nung Oku junction, lost her life on Friday night when a Toyota Corolla reportedly veered off the road, crashed, and somersaulted.
Eyewitnesses said the crash happened suddenly, leaving no chance for nearby traders and passers-by to escape.
Residents of the area have expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing Mma Akara as a hardworking woman whose akara business had served the community for years.
