Umo Eno Volunteers for 8 Initiative, a socio-political organization in Akwa Ibom State known for its resolve to ensure the reelection of Governor Umo Eno, PhD, for a second term come 2027, is set for its New Year Get-together.
According to a release signed by the Chancellor of the organization, Hon Ubong Iyoho and tagged ‘Invitation to a New Year Get-together’, a copy of which was obtained by our correspondent, the event is slated to hold at #13 Akpan Etuk Street, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Parts of the release read “On behalf of the leadership of Umo Eno Volunteers for 8, I welcome you all to the New Year 2026 and I am hopeful that it shall be a happy and fruitful Year.
In the spirit of the season, I wish to invite you to a New Year Get-together scheduled to hold as follows: Date: Friday, 9th January, 2026, Time: 2 pm”.
The statement further urged members of the group to: “come lets wine, dine and merry together even as we continue to volunteer for the actualization of our onerous task ahead”.
Meanwhile, the Chancellor, Hon Iyoho, who is also a former Chairman of Nsit Ibom Local Government Council said Umo Eno Volunteers for 8 is a group comprising notable sons and daughters of Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria.
In a brief message to the organization which he personally signed, Hon Iyoho noted: “UMO ENO VOLUNTEERS FOR 8”, is a Political Support Group comprising of reputed and notable sons and daughters of Akwa Ibom State and Nigerians.
“It is vested with the core and intentional drive to mobilize support for His Excellency, Pastor UMO ENO – PhD, the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, with a view to securing his re-election for another four years tenure, making it complete 8 years as his predecessors served.
The group also supports and will work for the reelection of our National Leaders, His Excellency, Chief Godswill Akpabio – GCON, Senate President of Nigeria, and His Excellency, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu – GCFR, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, come 2027.
This group is strictly for Members’/Stakeholders’ political engagement through which core objective ideas, modalities, strategies, and appraisals are incubated to be facilitated when the Iron is hot, but to achieve one cardinal purpose, UMO ENO and our National Leaders under APC, winning the 2027 elections for their 8 years tenure”
