The implementation of the tax reforms by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration has been described as ill-timed and overstressing to Nigerians.
Founder and Spiritual Leader of Christ Deliverance Ministries, CDM, Lagos, Prophet Ekong Ituen who made this assertion today, also stressed that the Taxation advisers were misadvising the President with an ulterior motive to pitch him against the Nigerian populace.
Baring his mind in a statement shared via his social media handles, Prophet Ituen further hinted that in his revelation, he saw Nigerian citizens staging serious protest and resistance against the Tinubu-led federal government’s tax policies.
“The implementation of your Tax Reform Policy is ill timed”, Prophet Ituen maintained, adding that “Your Taxation advisers are trying to pitch you against Nigerians at this point in time”.
While noting that the policy was overstressing Nigerians, Ituen continued: “Don’t overstress Nigerians beyond their strength.
In my revelation, I saw serious protests, revolt and public resistance against the government’s tax measures”.
It would be recalled that the President Bola Tinubu-led federal government on 1st January, 2026, began a tax regime which, according to the Act, would ensure all taxable citizens are properly taxed.
