Today, at the historic Murtala Mohammed Square in Kaduna, I had the uncommon privilege of welcoming a remarkable convergence of patriotic Nigerians, distinguished compatriots who have chosen to align with the All Progressives Congress (APC), further strengthening our collective quest for national renewal and democratic consolidation.
Among this esteemed assemblage were notable stakeholders, respected former party executives, and both serving and past members of the National Assembly; very eminent leaders whose political pedigree and unwavering commitment to the public good are beyond question. Their decision to embrace the APC represents not merely a political realignment, but a profound affirmation of our shared vision for a more secure, prosperous, and united Nigeria.
This groundswell of support is a testament to the enduring resonance of the Renewed Hope Agenda, a visionary blueprint being resolutely championed by our leader, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. His transformative stewardship continues to inspire trust, rekindle optimism, and mobilize citizens around the urgent task of nation-building. Here in Kaduna, we are wholly committed to actualizing this national vision through inclusive governance, sustainable development, and a people-first ethos.
Today’s occasion was further dignified by the presence of eminent personalities, including the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas; the National Chairman of our great party, Hon. Nentawe Yilwatda; the Honourable Minister of Environment, Malam Balarabe Abbas; alongside members of the APC National Working Committee and several other distinguished legislators. Their presence reaffirmed our shared determination to fortify the progressive movement and deepen the roots of democracy.
It is important to note that the likes of former Governor of Kaduna State, H.E Mukhtar Ramalan Yero; Senator Shehu Sani; Senator Danjuma Laah; and Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi, among other notable Kaduna politicians and stakeholders, had earlier defected to the APC prior to these very recent defections — a clear indication of the growing strength, inclusiveness, and wide appeal of our great party in Kaduna State.
To our new members, I extend a warm and sincere welcome. In the APC, we make no distinction between old and new; we are bound by a common purpose and a shared destiny. Every hand is valued, and every voice holds weight. Together, let us build upon the gains we have made, expand our reach, and steadfastly advance the noble cause of serving our people.
