…as ADC State Chairman; Duke gets Vote of Confidence
As the processes toward the 2027 electioneering begin to gather momentum in Akwa Ibom State, Obong (Dr.) Uduak Udoh has urged stakeholders of opposition political parties in the state to eschew all forms of internal bickerings, but unite to form a common front in order to come out victorious.
Dr. Udoh who was governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 governorship election in Akwa Ibom State, dropped the charge while speaking as a significant leader of Opposition Coalition in the state during an enlarged maiden meeting of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Akwa Ibom State Chapter.
Speaking during the meeting held at the ADC State Secretariat, #84 Udotung Uboh street, Uyo, held on Saturday, 9th August, 2025, Dr. Uduak Udoh also charged opposition parties to be weary of moles amongst them.
He advised the party leaders that since politics was local, efforts should be geared toward going to all the wards in the state with a view to sensitizing the grassroots on the need to register in the party.
Dr Uduak Udoh also cautioned opposition political parties in the state to avoid imposing party officials on the people but allow the people to choose their leaders.
During the meeting, stakeholders of the ADC also passed a Vote of Confidence on Rt. Hon Duke Dick as the State Chairman of the party.
A motion to that effect was moved by Chief Asuquo E. Anwana and seconded by Mr. Udo-Ema Simeon.

The state leaders met today and we all passed a vote of confidence on him as the Chairman of the party that we are going to work with him. We have all agreed that we are going to give our best until this party stands strong in this state. That’s what we agreed today”.
Dismissing the rumours of crisis within the ADC in the state, the ADC stakeholder continued: “It was a very friendly meeting, more or less a family meeting. Everybody is happy with the outcome of the meeting”.

We were able to pass a Vote of Confidence on the Chairman, Duke Dick and we hope he’s going to do a very good job to lead us to the hilltop mansion and Aso Rock”.
