2027: Your 2nd term bid is dicey, Prophet Ituen warns Benue Gov, Fr. Alia

…reveals alleged ‘in-house gangup’ against him, APC

By our correspondent

His Grace, Prophet Ekong Ituen, has warned Benue State Governor, His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, that his ambition for a second term in 2027 faces serious internal threats, urging him to seek “fervent prayers for divine intervention.”

In a prophecy released on Friday, September 11, 2026, the cleric said he saw a coalition being formed within the All Progressives Congress in Benue State, with some party members allegedly aligning with the opposition to unseat the governor.

“Your second term ambition is very dicey. Watch your back, betrayers abound. Some of your party members and close allies are quietly digging your political grave. You will soon realize that you trusted many in error,” Prophet Ituen stated.

“In my revelation, I saw a coalition being formed within your party, {APC Benue State.} They are relentlessly aligning themselves with opposition to remove you. You need fervent prayers for divine intervention to win 2027 Governorship Election in your state,” he added.

The prophet, who is famous for issuing political predictions ahead of major elections in Nigeria, also noted that prophecy serves as both a warning and a clue, and can be averted if the right steps are taken.

To buttress his message, Prophet Ituen referenced several of his past prophetic declarations that he said have come to pass.

In August 2026, he said he warned former Osun State Governor Gboyega Oyetola that blocking Governor Ademola Adeleke from defecting to the APC would put the party at a disadvantage, a position he linked to the party’s eventual loss in the state.

He also prophesied in February 2026 that Ekiti State Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji would win the June 20, 2026 gubernatorial election, and urged other candidates to “prepare their congratulatory messages in anticipation of the result.”

Other prophecies cited include his January 2024 warning to Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara that his political future was “very dicey” and that he should make peace with Barr. Nyesom Wike to avoid embarrassment. The man of stressed in a follow-up message in January 2026 that Fubara ignored “spiritual directives” and now faced either impeachment or denial of a second term ticket.

Prophet Ituen also listed predictions on national figures, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio, former CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele, and former APC National Chairman Senator Abdullahi Adamu.

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, he published the names of several governors who went on to win, including Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara, Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi, Dapo Abiodun of Ogun, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, and Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers. He also named President Bola Tinubu as the winner of the 2023 presidential election.

Ituen’s prophecy in 2024 predicted victory for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa in Ondo State and for Senator Monday Okpebholo in Edo State, saying PDP candidate Dr. Asue Ighodalo would be defeated due to a “political gang-up.”

The prophet further referenced a 2020 warning about a sitting governor dying before completing tenure, which was fulfilled with the passing of the late Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu. He also recalled predictions on the deaths of Senator Buruji Kashamu, the Ooni of Ife Oba Okunade Sijuwade, and former President Shehu Shagari.

Prophet Ituen said Governor Alia and other political leaders should not ignore spiritual counsel if they hope to navigate the challenges ahead of 2027.

He recalled that he gave similar advice to Governor Alia and Abia State Governor Alex Otti before the 2023 elections, urging them to seek divine direction, which he said contributed to their eventual victories.

“Prophecy is a warning and a clue to the future, it can be prevented if the right steps are taken,” the cleric emphasized.

The warning comes few months before the 2027 governorship elections, a period analysts say will be marked by intense realignments within parties across the country.
