These are some of the members of the apprehended ‘Mahmuda’ terrorist group operating in Ilesha Baruba, Kemaanji in Baruten and Kaiama local government areas of Kwara State, and around Kainji Lake Forest in Niger state.
Multiple terrorists who engaged the Nigerian military were neutralized, many escaped with gunshot wounds, and several were arrested.
The success of the military operation in Kwara was facilitated by close collaboration with members of the affected communities, who provided valuable information on the movement and activities of the terrorists, thereby eliminating conspiratorial silence, as seen in some sections of the country.
The operation code named “Park Strike Four” is expected to comb a distance of at least 90 km from kemanji into the Kanji forest.
