TITLE: You Can’t Preach Healing Until You’ve Limped
SCRIPTURE TEXTS.
“Come, let us return to the Lord. He has torn us to pieces but he will heal us; he has injured us but he will bind up our wounds.” – Hosea 6:1 (NIV)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
God cannot trust you to bandage others until He has allowed something to bleed in you.
MAIN MESSAGE
Child of God, have you ever wondered why some scars still hurt?
It’s because God sometimes marks us with pain in the very places where pride once lived.
Have you ever prayed with a tongue that tastes like dust?
Watched your bank account bleed dry while school fees mocked you like a bully in the dark?
Before the diagnosis, you quoted healing like a chorus—
But the night you couldn’t breathe, you didn’t quote the verse… you sobbed it.
You were the one who led marriage seminars, until your own marriage crumbled in silence.
You preached Mountain-Moving Faith… until the mountain moved into your own living room.
Now the affliction that broke you has become the teacher that’s schooling you.
Because “limps” give you authority.
How can you truly comfort someone battling cancer if you’ve only ever survived a cold?
How can you preach Jehovah-Jireh-our Provider-if your fridge has never remained empty?
Jacob wrestled with God.
He limped away, yes-but he also walked out transformed.
His stride slowed… but his words carried oil.
And Job said it best:
• “I had only heard about you before, but now I have seen you with my own eyes.”- Job 42:5 (NLT)
You see, Christ didn’t preach redemption from a golden pulpit.
He bled it out on a cross.
If our Master limped into glory-why are we hiding our crutches?
Lift that scar like a torch.
Let your limp preach louder than your lips.
Tell the darkness:
•“Yes, I stagger… but every step still shouts: GRACE!”
Tears are testimonies in liquid form.
They mean you’ve been there.
And that’s what makes you trustworthy.
Yes, you’ve been laid off.
Maybe betrayal greeted you where love once lived.
Perhaps you’re battling migraines no doctor can explain.
Or you’re walking through life with an empty wallet and heavier burdens.
But hear this—
These were not just attacks.
They may have been Heaven’s hidden method of ordination.
Look again:
What broke you might be the very thing that’s building your calling.
TAKEAWAY STATEMENT
Pain graduates us from guessing to knowing; a “limp” is the pulpit where compassion preaches.
PRAYER POINTS
1. Father, turn every private wound I’m experiencing now into public wisdom; let my “limp” release healing to others.-in Jesus Mighty name.
2. Lord Jesus, keep me humble-may the memory of midnight wrestling guard me from daylight pride-in Jesus Mighty name.
3. O Lord, May the Spirit of Comfort, anoint my scars; where I once bled, let multitudes now be bandaged because of my scars, in Jesus’ mighty name! Amen!
