The Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, along with thethe Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Sen. Abubakar Kyari, today undertook an assessment visit to the Ayarkeke axis of the Nasarawa State Government Rice Farm in Awe Local Government Area.
Of the 10,000 hectares earmarked for cultivation, approximately 3,300 hectares have already been successfully developed underscoring the state’s strategic investment in large scale agriculture as a driver of economic growth and food sufficiency.
Governor Sule described the rice farm expansion as a deliberate move in unwavering commitment to agricultural transformation and the sustainable empowerment of rural economy of Nasarawa State.
Meanwhile, the Minister commended the quality and scope of work done so far, expressing optimism about the project’s potential and reaffirming the Federal Government’s readiness to deepen collaboration in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for national food security.
