The Executive Chairman of Augie Local Government Area, Hon. Yahaya Muhammad Augie, has officially welcomed key leaders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who have decamped to the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing the move as a testimony to the growing confidence in the leadership of His Excellency, Dr. Nasir Idris, the Executive Governor of Kebbi State.
According to Hon. Yahaya Augie, the unprecedented transformation being witnessed across the state under the leadership of Governor Nasir Idris has become a magnet attracting political heavyweights and grassroots mobilizers to the ruling APC.
“In the history of Kebbi State, we have never had a more committed, visionary, and people-oriented governor like Ƙauran-Gwandu,” Hon. Augie remarked.
The latest and significant political gain for the APC in Augie Local Government is the defection of Hon. Dan Lamso Kwaido, the former PDP Chairman in the area. He willingly stepped down from his position and joined the APC, citing the excellent leadership and developmental strides of Governor Nasir Idris as his motivation.
The Kebbi State APC Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Kana Zuru, officially received the defectors into the party, assuring them of full integration and equal rights as bona fide members of the APC.
The APC in Kebbi State, according to the party’s leadership, remains committed to inclusive governance, unity, and continued progress under the leadership of Governor Nasir Idris
