Honourable Francis Bartholomew Chima, popularly known as OmoBarca, has extended warm Christmas greetings to the people of Ajeromi Ifelodun Federal Constituency, urging residents to embrace peace, unity, and compassion during the festive season.
In a Christmas goodwill message released on Wednesday, OmoBarca described the celebration of Christmas as a period of reflection on love, sacrifice, and service to humanity, noting that these values remain essential to community development and peaceful coexistence.
According to him, the birth of Jesus Christ symbolizes hope and renewal, especially at a time when many Nigerians are grappling with economic challenges and social pressures. He encouraged constituents to draw strength from the season’s message and to continue supporting one another in the spirit of togetherness.
“Christmas reminds us of the power of love, humility, and selfless service. It is a season that calls on us to look beyond our differences and extend kindness to one another, particularly to the less privileged in our communities,” OmoBarca said.
He commended the resilience of residents of Ajeromi Ifelodun, describing them as hardworking, courageous, and deeply committed to the progress of the constituency despite prevailing challenges. He noted that the ability of the people to remain hopeful and united reflects the enduring spirit of the community.
Hon. Chima also used the occasion to appreciate community leaders, youths, women groups, religious institutions, and stakeholders who, according to him, have continued to play vital roles in promoting peace, security, and social cohesion within the constituency.
He reiterated his commitment to grassroots development, youth empowerment, and community oriented initiatives, stressing that the welfare of the people remains at the core of his public service engagement. According to him, sustainable development can only be achieved when leaders and citizens work collaboratively for the common good.
“As we celebrate this season, I want to reassure you that my dedication to the growth and well-being of Ajeromi Ifelodun remains unwavering. Together, we can build a constituency that offers opportunities, dignity, and hope for all,” he stated.
OmoBarca also called on residents to use the Christmas period to pray for peace and stability in Lagos State and Nigeria at large, noting that national progress depends on unity, tolerance, and mutual respect among citizens.
He encouraged families to celebrate responsibly and to prioritize safety, particularly during travels and public gatherings associated with the festive season.
“As we gather with family and loved ones, let us remember those who are less fortunate and share what we have. Acts of kindness, no matter how small, can make a meaningful difference,” he added.
Hon. Francis Bartholomew Chima concluded by wishing all Christians in Ajeromi Ifelodun a joyful Christmas celebration and prayed that the New Year would bring renewed hope, improved living conditions, and greater opportunities for the constituency and the nation.
“May the joy of Christmas fill every home with peace, love, and happiness. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year,” he said.
