The leadership of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) has announced with deep sorrow the passing of three of its members following a tragic motor accident involving a team returning from an EMS Saturation Outreach mission.
According to a statement signed by the church’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), Danjuma Dickson Auta “the bus, carrying 14 participants from Zonzon DCC in Kaduna State returning fromTaraba State, was involved in an accident near the Lariski area of Bauchi State”.
The statement added that following the incident, the injured were rushed to a hospital in Gombe, where three of the victims were confirmed dead. Six individuals, according to the church’s leadership, are currently receiving medical treatment, while five others have been discharged in stable condition.
The identities of members who lost their lives in the incident included a former ECWA Women Fellowship International leader; Mama Deborah Bonat, former Zonzon DCC Secretary; Rev. Habila Tagwai Kahan and Mama Lydia John.
“The ECWA leadership is actively coordinating with relevant authorities to ensure the safe return of the deceased to their families for burial. The Church extends its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and urges all members to uphold them in fervent prayer during this difficult time.
In light of this incident, the ECWA leadership calls on all congregants to remain prayerful, calm, and trusting in God amid this challenging moment”, the statement concluded.
