*Says “Shame on you…”

Public affairs commentator Prof. Sandra Chidinma Duru, popularly known as Prof Mgbeke, has told Senate President Godswill Akpabio that any settlement or “romantic reconciliation” with Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan will not stop her independent petition against the Kogi lawmaker.
In a lengthy statement currently trending, Duru said serious criminal allegations raised in the public dispute must be tested through evidence and due process, regardless of political decisions to withdraw court cases.
“MY PETITION IS MY PETITION. My rights are my rights. Nobody gets to negotiate them away because powerful people suddenly find ‘moving on’ more convenient than accountability and justice,” Duru wrote.
The controversy stems from public accusations made by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan against Akpabio. According to allegations attributed to Akpoti-Uduaghan in Duru’s statement, the claims include sexual harassment and inappropriate sexual advances, as well as far more serious allegations of murder, attempted murder, human organ harvesting and trafficking.
Duru’s statement also referenced claims attributed to Akpoti-Uduaghan that Mrs. Unoma Ekaette Akpabio is “living with organs harvested from a young woman,” that Akpabio and his wife are not the biological parents of their son, and that the Senate President attempted to have Akpoti-Uduaghan killed. The statement further cited an allegation involving musician Patoranking.
Duru noted that Akpabio later withdrew the criminal charges against Akpoti-Uduaghan, describing it as “YOUR decision.”
Duru said the gravity of the allegations means they cannot be allowed to “suddenly disappear because charges were withdrawn.”
“If Natasha has evidence, let her present it and let the law thoroughly investigate Akpabio. If these grave allegations were deliberately fabricated, let the law determine the consequences with equal seriousness,” she stated.
“If I have been criminally defamed, targeted or otherwise wronged, investigate my case independently. I do not care about gender, political office, money, influence or connections. LET THE EVIDENCE SPEAK.”
She added: “EVIDENCE BEFORE CONDEMNATION. DUE PROCESS BEFORE DESTRUCTION. TRUTH HAS NO GENDER. JUSTICE HAS NO FAVORITE.”
Duru accused Akpabio of failing to protect family dignity and of allowing politics to interfere with accountability. She also referenced a direct confrontation where she told the Senate President “SHAME ON YOU.”
“Leadership is not agbada, cap, convoy, security detail, title or political office. Leadership is courage, responsibility and accountability,” Duru said.
She warned that the episode will feature in her Project TruthShield™ as a case study on evidence preservation, political interference, and institutional accountability.
“Akpabio, the next time you decide to mess with me without first putting the unresolved Natasha Akpoti, Joi, Pat Akpabio and other controversies surrounding you in order, remember that ‘SHAME ON YOU’ was only an introduction,” she wrote.
As of press time, there has been no new official response from the office of the Senate President or from Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan regarding Duru’s latest statement.

At a certain stage in a woman’s life, her children become one of the most important parts of her existence, especially her son(s). So, as a man, if you cannot protect your wife’s heart, dignity and pride from the monster you helped create or empower with the commonwealth of your nation that you looted, then you have not only failed your wife and children, you may have mortgaged the dignity of your future grandchildren for whatever piece of cake, political convenience or past transaction has tied your hands from standing firmly for your family.
Senator Godswill Akpabio, this is where I believe you failed spectacularly. Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan did not merely disagree with you politically. She publicly accused you of sexual harassment and inappropriate sexual advances and, according to allegations attributed to her, went much further: murder, attempted murder, human organ harvesting and trafficking, pursuing or attempting to sleep with other men’s wives, and other extremely damaging accusations against you and your family.
She claimed that your wife, Mrs. Unoma Ekaette Akpabio, is living with organs harvested from a young woman she accused you of murdering. She claimed that you and your wife are not the biological parents of your only son, that you bought him and murdered his biological mother. She alleged that you attempted to have her killed and also made claims involving Nigerian musician Patoranking, saying he told her and her husband, Emmanuel Uduaghan, about your alleged attempt to sleep with his wife. These are not ordinary political insults. They are allegations of some of the most serious crimes imaginable.
That is why my position remains firm: EVIDENCE, INVESTIGATION AND DUE PROCESS. If Natasha has evidence, let her present it and let the law thoroughly investigate Akpabio. If these grave allegations were deliberately fabricated, let the law determine the consequences with equal seriousness. Nigeria deserves the TRUTH, not merely the withdrawal of a criminal trial or the letters and reports you people are flooding my office with. Allegations this serious cannot dominate national discourse and suddenly disappear because charges were withdrawn. The public deserves answers, the accused deserves a lawful determination, and Nigeria deserves closure. Where crimes are established, those responsible must face justice and serve as a deterrent to others; where accusations are proven false and criminally actionable, accountability must equally follow. Otherwise, what message are we sending to Nigerians and the world? Is Nigeria governed by the rule of law, or have we become a country of selective prosecution where serious criminal allegations conveniently disappear when politics intervenes?
After all these allegations involving you, your wife and your only son, you withdrew the criminal charges against Natasha. That was YOUR decision. What you will not do is use your political decision, settlement, romantic reconciliation or whatever arrangement exists between you and Natasha to frustrate MY independent petition against her. MY PETITION IS MY PETITION. My rights are my rights. Nobody gets to negotiate them away because powerful people suddenly find “moving on” more convenient than accountability and justice.
If Natasha is telling the truth, investigate and prosecute whoever committed crimes. If you are innocent, let evidence and proper investigation establish that too. If I have been criminally defamed, targeted or otherwise wronged, investigate my case independently. I do not care about gender, political office, money, influence or connections. LET THE EVIDENCE SPEAK.
Akpabio, if you are offended because I am about to call you out on other issues, feel free to be offended by my truth. You exposed your decisions and conduct to legitimate public scrutiny the moment a serious criminal controversy became entangled with politics. You cannot help politicize a serious matter and later decide which parts of the resulting controversy everyone else is permitted to discuss.
Now you are complaining that I told your wife and daughters what I believe they needed to hear? I HAVEN’T EVEN STARTED! You are upset because I boldly told you, “SHAME ON YOU,” and reportedly started complaining about me to people? Leadership is not agbada, cap, convoy, security detail, title or political office. Leadership is courage, responsibility and accountability. It is knowing when politics must end and your family’s dignity, Sandra Duru’s reputation, Nigeria’s image, truth and justice must come first.
This entire ordeal, your decisions, mistakes, carelessness and the institutional handling of this controversy will become important case studies within Project TruthShield™ on evidence preservation, political interference, institutional accountability, gender weaponization, media manipulation, reputation destruction and due process.
