…dissociates from meeting with Commissioner

RE: IMPERSONATION OF THE APC NATIONAL YOUTH CAUCUS, AKWA IBOM STATE CHAPTER
The attention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Youth Caucus, Akwa Ibom State Chapter, has been drawn to a disturbing incident that occurred on Monday, June 2, 2025. A group of individuals, led by Mr. Evans Umoren—who was previously dismissed from the APC National Youth Caucus over allegations of financial misappropriation, unauthorized dealings, and various abuses of office—falsely presented themselves as representatives of our organization during a visit to a serving Commissioner in the PDP-led state government. This visit was subsequently publicized on social media by one Mr. Pat Ruben.
We wish to categorically state that Mr. Evans Umoren and his associates are neither members nor representatives of the APC National Youth Caucus, Akwa Ibom State Chapter. Their actions were entirely unauthorized, deceptive, and constitute a clear act of impersonation aimed at misleading public officials, obtaining undue benefits, and tarnishing the image of our organization.
For the avoidance of doubt, the APC National Youth Caucus, Akwa Ibom State Chapter, remains firmly committed to the values, vision, and integrity of the All Progressives Congress. We do not engage in collaborations, courtesy visits, or political alignments with opposition parties or their representatives under any circumstance.
We urge the general public, party stakeholders, and relevant security agencies to disregard any claims or representations made by this group. Furthermore, we call on the appropriate authorities to investigate this incident and take all necessary legal actions against those involved.
We reaffirm our unwavering support for the APC and our dedication to promoting genuine youth participation in politics through integrity, transparency, and loyalty to the party’s leadership and constitution.
