Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic gets new Deputy Registrar, Consultancy Services

The Management of Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, Ikot Ekpene, has approved the appointment of Mr. Anietie Solomon Etteyit as the new Deputy Registrar, AKWAPOLY Consultancy Services.
The appointment was contained in a press release issued by the Media Unit of the Institution on September 19, 2026.
According to the statement, “The Management of Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, has approved the appointment of Mr. Anietie Solomon Etteyit as the new Deputy Registrar, AKWAPOLY Consultancy Services.”
The release further disclosed that prior to his new appointment, Mr. Etteyit served as Deputy Registrar, Academic Affairs Unit, where he distinguished himself in service.
“Prior to his new appointment, Mr. Etteyit served as Deputy Registrar, Academic Affairs Unit, where he contributed to the effective administration and coordination of academic-related activities of the Institution,” the statement said.
The Management expressed confidence that his wealth of experience and institutional knowledge will be brought to bear in his new office, especially in strengthening the operations and improving service delivery of the Consultancy Unit.
“His appointment to AKWAPOLY Consultancy Services is expected to bring his wealth of administrative experience and institutional knowledge to bear in strengthening the operations and service delivery of the Unit,” the release stated.
The Consultancy Services Unit of Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic is a strategic arm of the institution responsible for driving consultancy, entrepreneurial training, and revenue-generating services, as well as bridging the gap between the polytechnic and the larger society through professional training services and partnerships.
Stakeholders within the institution have described Mr. Etteyit as a seasoned administrator with deep understanding of the polytechnic system, whose contributions in the Academic Affairs Unit helped to ensure seamless coordination of academic activities, including admissions, examinations, and records management.
His redeployment is seen as part of the ongoing reforms by the management of the polytechnic to reposition key units for greater efficiency and optimal performance in line with the vision of the Rector and the Governing Council.
The Management also congratulated the new Deputy Registrar and wished him success as he assumes his new responsibilities.
“The Management congratulates him on his appointment and wishes him a successful tenure in his new office,” the statement concluded.
The appointment takes immediate effect.
