State Chairman of the APC National Youth Caucus, NYC, Akwa Ibom State Chapter, Comrade Victor Sunday Etim has urged the newly inaugurated Eket LGA Chapter Executive members of the group to work with the Leadership of the All Progressives Congress in the area towards ensuring victory for the party in future elections.
Comrade Etim who dropped the charge during the inauguration ceremony held yesterday at Okon Eket, also informed party faithful of many empowerment opportunities created by the President Tinubu-led APC government for the youths.
“As you are sworn into your various offices today, I want you to note that the APC National Youth Caucus is not constituted to fight the leadership of the party”, Etim forewarned, adding that the NYC is like a the military wing of the APC.
“The Youth Caucus is to play supportive role as the military wing of the APC. We are for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. We are for the Senate President, Distinguished Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, who is also our Grand Leader and we are for the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno.
“There are lots of empowerment opportunities created by the President Tinubu-led APC federal government. That’s why we are going round all the local government areas of the state to revalidate our membership and inaugurate our structures so that we gather data of our members with a view to submitting them to appropriate quarters”.
The NYC State Chairman further advised the newly inaugurated Exco and members of the group in Eket to work together towards achieving the mandates of the Caucus.
In his acceptance speech, the newly sworn in Eket LGA Chapter Chairman, Comrade David Basil Jacob on behalf of his Exco, thanked the National and state leadership of the Caucus for the confidence reposed in them. He pledged to do his best in the discharge of his functions.
Also sworn in were Comrades Godwin Mbang, David Wilson and Evelyn Udoh Elijah as Vice Chairman, Secretary and Woman Leader, respectively, while Isaac Akpanette was sworn in as PRO, amongst others.
In the entourage of the State Chairman were the Dean of NYC LG Chapter Chairmen; Comrade Iniobong Andem who’s also the Itu LGA Chapter Chairman.
Others were State Treasurer; Comrade Ini Inyang, State Publicity Secretary; Comrade Ime Silas, Chairman Eket Senatorial District; Comrade Lucky Moses Jnr, State Woman Leader; Comrade Patience Sam, amongst others.
