…joins Tuggar, Tanko, Abubakar
Another Minister in the cabinet of His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu has resigned his appointment.
The latest on the list of Ministers who have resigned is Mr. Sa’idu Ahmed Alkali who was the Honourable Minister of Transportation. He joined the list of other ministers to meet the March 31st, 2026 deadline.
Our Correspondent also gathered Mr Alkali was in the state house to meet President Bola Tinubu.
State House Correspondent who later confirmed details of Alkali’s visit to the President said it was in connection to his resignation.
It was learnt that the former Minister’s resignation was to enable him join the 2027 governorship race in Gombe state.
Alkali joins the likes of Amb Yusuf Tuggar who resigned earlier as Minister of Foreign Affairs as well as Yusuf Tanko Sununu, who was Minister of State for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction.
Meanwhile, President Tinubu also received in audience his former minister of defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar.
The former minister visited the President in office for the first time since he resigned his previous position in the cabinet.
Though details of the meeting behind closed doors were not made public, it is believed to have centred on political situation in Jigawa state.
The meeting also cleared the air on insinuation in some quarters that the former minister was planning to dump the APC for an opposition party.
The former two-term governor of Jigawa state, resigned as a minster on December 1, 2025 after serving from August 21, 2023.
The President also received the immediate past National chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Ganduje.
