BREAKING! Defection: PDP moves to drag Delta gov, others to court
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has directed its legal adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade, to take legal action against Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, and the entire PDP structure in Delta State for defecting to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Addressing journalists after an emergency meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC), Acting National Chairman, Amb Umar Damagum, explained that the party was prepared to challenge the defection legally to reclaim its mandate, as the officials were initially elected under the PDP platform.
