As scheming for 2027 elections continue to assume different dimensions, some governors in the country have begun searching for their preferred successors.
One of such states is Imo State where the Deputy Governor, Her Excellency, Mrs Chinyere Ekomaru has reportedly resigned from her position.
A new Deputy Governor, our correspondent gathered, will be unveiled soon and the person will likely be the Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Imo State, come 2027.
It was learnt that the development was not unconnected to Senator Hope Uzodinma’s Senatorial ambition.
According to sources, Gov Hope Uzodinma might resign as Governor once he wins the Senatorial election to pursue his Senate President ambition as Tinubu promised south east.
