…as beneficiaries, villagers laud Eteidung George

Beneficiaries of the skill acquisition training programme organized by Efiat Offot Village Council, Uyo local government area of Akwa Ibom State have been empowered with laptops and books to further enhance their future endeavors.
The presentation ceremony which was held today, Monday, 15th September, 2025, at the Village Council Hall, Efiat Offot, was attended by members of the village council, beneficiaries, residents and indigenes of the village.
The holiday training programme, aimed at equipping indigenes and residents of the community on morals and skills, was sponsored by the Eteidung (Barr) C. J. George-led Village Council with support from notable residents of the community.
Speaking during the presentation ceremony, the Village Head, Eteidung (Barr) C. J. George commended the beneficiaries of the programme for their commitment in attending the training, expressing his confidence that the new skills and moral knowledge they acquired would help in their pursuits.
“I want to thank you all for exhibiting commitment during the skill acquisition training programme. It is my belief that the skills and knowledge you gained would help you in your academic pursuit and all your undertakings”, Eteidung George said.
He continued: “These laptops and books we’re presenting to you today are to assist you in your chosen areas. Above all, the moral knowledge you acquired during the training programme would also help you to be good indigenes and residents that this community would be proud of”.
Awards were also presented during the event to deserving awardees amongst whom is the Managing-Director and Chief Executive of BBC Limited, Uyo, Chief Jeffrey Chidi Nwaizu.
The empowerment recipients, awardees and several members of the community who spoke during the event, commended the Village Head for his efforts as well as his unprecedented achievements recorded since inception of his reigns.
