Iman North 2 APC in Etinan passes Vote of Confidence on Council Chair, Uko Umoh

…reaffirms Otuekong Ikpat as Political Leader

The leadership and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Northern Iman Ward 2 in Etinan Local Government Area, have passed a Vote of Confidence on the local government Council Chairman; Hon Uko Umoh, describing him as a performing Chairman.

The Vote of Confidence was expressed during a well-attended strategic Ward meeting held today at Party’s Ward office, Ikot Isong. The meeting brought together party leaders, stakeholders stalwarts and faithful.

Moving the motion, the Political Leader for Northern Iman Ward 2, Otuekong Uduakabasi Ikpat, stressed that Hon Uko Umoh had represented the Ward effectively by performing creditably as the Etinan Council Chairman.

He noted the impressive developmental strides of the Hon. Uko Umoh-led administration in Etinan LGA, calling on the APC faithful to accord him all the necessary support to enable him to do more.

Seconding the motion, a former Local Government Council Secretary, Obong Emmanuel Titus a.k.a Mika, lauded Uko’s achievements within his few years in office, maintaining that his administration had given Etinan a facelift.

Speaking during the meeting, the APC Chapter Chairman for Etinan, Comrade Israel Tommy praised party members for their unity and commitment. He cautioned against insults or any untoward acts that might undermine leaders from the area. He called for cooperation with political office holders, stressing that whether old or new members, the APC was big enough to accommodate everyone.

On his part, the Political Leader for Etinan, Obong Ini Obot, while congratulating Otuekong Uduakabasi Ikpat on his reaffirmation as the Ward Political Leader, commended Northern Iman Ward 2 for their orderliness and maturity in handling the affairs of the party in the Ward.

On her part, the APC Woman Leader, Akwa Ibom Northeast (Uyo) Senatorial District, Lady Patience Anako applauded the women of the Ward for their steadfastness in the party. She encouraged all women and stakeholders to continue working in unity for the greater good of the APC.

Earlier in his opening remarks, the APC Ward Chairman, Northern Iman Ward 2, Elder Aniekan Akpan welcomed both old and new members of the party, emphasizing that everyone had equal opportunity as registered members of the party.

The Ward meeting also had in attendance members of the chapter and Ward Executives, Zonal and Unit Heads amongst others.
