President of the Senate and Chairman of the 10th National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Distinguished Sen Godswill Obot Akpabio GCON writes:
STILL ON MY ACTIVITIES IN LAGOS STATE
Over the weekend, I led members of the National Assembly, to the commissioning of some completed projects and flag-off of new projects by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCON, to mark the two year in office Mr President. The key point of the ceremony was the commissioning of the 30 kilometers of the 1st Phase of the Lagos- Calabar Coastal Highway.
In my brief remarks at the event, I stated that the commissioning of the 1st Phase, was a proof to the fact that whenever the National Assembly says “Mr President you are doing well, he is truly doing well.
I told Mr President that in him, we have a President who has both sights and vision and totally commited to taking Nigerians to where they ought to be.
The National Assembly under my leadership is very proud of President Tinubu’s administration and its achievements in the last two years.
I admonished our governors not handover power in their states to those, who kneel to greet them and those who were not prepared to take up the responsibilities of the office of the Governor, as doing so leads to betrayals.
I also congratulated, the Hon Minister of Works, Senator Dave Umahi, for a job well done “because the journey of a thousand miles begins with a step and today’s commissioning is a proof that this administration means what it says and says what it means.”
