Insecurity: Nigerian govs squander security votes, Tinubu alone shouldn’t be blamed – Prophet Ituen
The spiritual leader of Christ Deliverance Ministries {CDM} in Lagos, His Grace, Prophet Ekong Ituen, has accused the Nigerian governors of being part of the problems of insecurity in Nigeria because they don’t do anything to curb it. Speaking with journalists recently, Ituen blamed the Nigerian Governors for not being prudent and transparent with security votes, noting that they spend the money on frivolities instead of securing the people that voted for them.
Prophet Ituen added that Governors are now making more money than ever in Tinubu’s government, but ordinary citizens don’t feel it positively.
“How much will it cost them to buy helicopters and sophisticated weapons for police to fight banditry?”, Prophet Ituen quipped.
He continued: “We should question them because Tinubu has satisfied these governors by giving them a lot of money, so how can a governor say he doesn’t have power to control security, He is a bad governor.
The security votes must be scrutinized; how are they spending it? Many of these governors will go to hell; They are not adding value to the voters. They are only making money”.
Prophet Ituen further stated that Tinubu alone shouldn’t be blamed for insecurity, stressing that governors who are receiving security votes to secure the people should also receive a share of the blame.
