Rescue Of 70 Nigerians: Thank VDM, not me -AirPeace CEO, Allen

…says verydarkman a blessing to Nigeria

By our correspondent

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Air Peace Airline, Mr Allen Onyema has said that popular Nigerian social media influencer and critic, Martins Otse popularly known as VeryDarkman or ‘VDM’ should rather be praised for the successful rescue of 70 Nigerians in Cote D’Ivoire but not himself.

Mr Onyema who was reacting to outpouring of commendations and encomiums on him for the feat, further described VDM as a blessing to the country.

It would be recalled that two months ago, VDM raised an alarm about Nigerian girls who were trafficked in Ivory Coast. According to pundits, Nigerian government as usual, feigned ignorance until Allen Onyema came to the rescue.

A social media user posted “About 70 girls were brought back home as a result of Onyema’s benevolence. He used his aircraft to bring those girls back without receiving a dime. He also paid for their medical check up.

“Whenever Nigerians are stranded abroad, Allen Onyema always takes it upon himself to airlift them back home”

Reacting, Onyema noted: “Nigeria shouldn’t be thanking me for bringing back over 70 Nigerians from Ivory Coast free of charge. They should be thanking Verydarkblackman for rescuing them. That young man has been a real blessing to Nigeria”.
