The Head Coach of Nigeria’s National football team, Mr. Eric Chelle has admitted that though most fans had written him and the team off due to their unfavorable standing on the FIFA World Cup qualification table, he’s not botherd.

The tactician who was quoted to have stated this during one of his latest media chat added that he was concentrating on preparing the players for the remaining matches.

According to him: “People have already written us off, but I am not bothered by that.
“I am concentrating on preparing my players for the remaining four matches that we have.
“I think that we are going to surprise a lot of people.ā€

Coach Chelle has been in charge of only two of the team’s six qualifiers so far, securing four points in those two games (2-0 victory against Rwanda and 1-1 draw versus Zimbabwe)

His predecessors, Jose Peseiro had secured two draws while Finidi George, a local coach only secured a draw and lost one game.

The Super Eagles are currently in Uyo, preparing for the crucial World Cup qualifier against Rwanda tomorrow.

The time for the match is 5pm prompt.

Super Eagles’ next game would be against the Group C leaders, South Africa on the South African soil, next week.
