…appreciates youth-friendly President Tinubu, Akpabio

State Chairman of the APC National Youth Caucus, NYC, Akwa Ibom State Chapter, Comrade Victor Sunday Etim has reiterated the group’s commitment to linking its members to the appropriate quarters for them to benefit from the various empowerment programmes of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led All Progressives Congress government in the country.
Comrade Victor who dropped the hint in Uyo over the weekend while interacting with newsmen on the heels of the recently announced appointments, described President Tinubu as a youth-friendly leader, noting the many leadership roles and empowerment opportunities created for many youthful Nigerians.
“It’s actually a thing of joy seeing the unending appointments reeled out by the President, some of which are for the youths”, Victor remarked, stressing that Akwa Ibom State never had it this good.
Continuing, the NYC State’s helmsman said “Just last week, a youthful Akwa Ibom son in the person of Chief Saviour Enyiekere was sworn in as the Executive Chairman of the National Assembly Service Commission, Abuja.
“And now, our illustrious youthful daughter, Ms Usoro Offiong Akpabio has been appointed by the President as Managing-Director of the newly established South-south Development Commission. We also have Dr. Nkereuwem Ebong as Commissioner representing Akwa Ibom State on the Board of the South-south Development Commission.
“There’s also another youthful daughter of the state, Hon. Rachael NseAbasi, who has also been appointed by the President as South-south Representative on the Board of the North-central Development Commission. If you ask me, I will tell you that this is massive. The state has never had it this good”.
The Youth Caucus boss also extolled President Tinubu for his efforts at freeing Nigeria from external indebtedness, citing the recent payment of the $3.4b IMF loan he inherited from past administrations, amongst others.
Commending the Senate President Akpabio for his roles, Comrade Victor stated further: “When you see developments like this, just know that there’s someone like our Grand Leader and Senate President, His Excellency, Distinguished Sen Godswill Obot Akpabio working hard for the people of the state and the country.
We have seen various appointments and empowerment opportunities created through the positive collaboration between the National Assembly and the Executive arm. So, we thank President Tinubu and the Senate President Akpabio for their efforts at transforming Nigeria and Nigerians”.
On NYC, he said “The APC National Youth Caucus was established to bridge the gap between the government and party on one hand, and the teeming youths on the other hand. There are lots of opportunities so far created by the APC federal government. As the leader of the Caucus in the state, my duty is to liaise with the government and the party with a view to attracting empowerments to our youths.
“We’re currently working hard at repositioning the Caucus to achieve these tasks. I thank God for those we have in government who have demonstrated the will power to develop our youths. Therefore, I’m hopeful that sooner, a great number of the teeming APC youths will have a reason to be happy”.
